It has been awhile since I have been on the blog - but the time has not been quiet.

Jim left early on the morning of June 28 for his second trip to Canada - and returned last night - July 6. Of course they had a wonderful time - lots of fish caught, lots of food, spotted two enormous snapping turtles making whoopee! - were able to get within about 10 feet of them and has a few interesting photos.

In the meantime, I have been rather lazy. I have spent some time with a good friend whose younger daughter died unexpectedly on the 27th. Sandy Mc called this a.m. to say that she had a new granddaughter - Jarrod and Gretchen are the proud parents. I spent 4th of July evening in our living room with our two canine daughters as they weren't too happy about all the explosions going off outside, etc., etc., etc. I had good intentions to do some housework, but decided I would rather be in the recliner, with two girls on my lap, and reading a good book.

On Tuesday we are scheduled to be in Liberty for pre-op procedures with Jim. Surgery had been scheduled for July 20, but has been delayed until July 26 as of this writing. After the pre-op procedures, Jim is to check in with the doctor to see how his knee is doing as there is the possibility that knee surgery will come first - then at a later time he will have hip replacement. We should know the verdict on the 10th.

We hope to get to Pomme de Terre this coming week and winterize the trailer. Thursday is supposed to be only in the low 80s so that might be a good day to go - has been in upper 80s and low 90s recently.

Be safe.
B.
