Mon. Sept 11
From what started as a dampish morning and now a sunny afternoon,
We had a little moisture early this a.m., but by the time I left the RSVP office at 9:30 - the sun was out in all of its glory. Ron Wilder did the computer work this a.m. and had only one small glitch - which he would have figured out. I wrote a couple of checks, xeroxed, collated, and balanced the checkbook (after getting help from Ron as I had one item wrong).
Clara called about having lunch today, but Jim was still debating about going to KC. By the time he had resolved his "debating", Clara and Jan had gone somewhere to eat. Jim and I ended up going to the bowling alley - split a sandwich and each had a side salad.
I am fixing a spaghetti squash for supper along with the appropriate meat sauce so that aspect of our evening has been settled.
We are planning on watching a track meet that was held this past weekend (taped for later viewing) this evening and then who knows what we will watch after that.
Jim did get his PSA done this a.m. as he sees Dr. Kozminski this Wednesday (changed the date from going to St. Joseph on Tuesday). I had completely forgotten about the need for the PSA until this weekend and Jim had also not thought of it. Jim is to have the implant replaced on Wednesday.
We don't have specfic plans for Tuesday - sometimes that spells trouble for us. We do need to walk so after that the day is open.
We had a murder-suicide at our local state correctional facility on Sunday afternoon. I guess working personnel are not routinely checked for what they are carrying in and a guard carried a gun in, shot a female guard (or employee) and then killed himself. Names have not been released when last I had the radio on. I had assumed that all people entering the facility were checked - especially after the incident in Kansas a few months ago.
Be safe.
