Sun. Dec. 17
From an overcast, breezy, coolish MO,
We have had a full day. We left here about 9:30 this a.m. (had planned on an earlier departure, but kept forgetting things to be done) and were soon on our way to the Overland Park area of KC. We first went to Borders and found items for Judy Mathew and Debbie Willard. Then we decided to eat lunch at Red Lobster (ended up getting appetizers) and then across the street to the Metcalf Shopping Center (only a few stores are still there.) First we went to Macy's and then to the Glenwood Theater where we saw a marvelous movie.
"The Queen" was a very interesting study of the English monarchy - its relationship to the people as well as to the prime minister. I had thought it would be a Diana store, but even though of course this aspect was present, the movie had be "grabbed" very quickly.
Next we went to Sam's at 95th and I-35 - then headed home. We had a light sprinkle, but the temperature was in the upper 40s so didn't worry about freezing.
Jim and I hope to walk on Monday a.m. and then I will probably be joining Pat for a quick outing. I am sure the girls will be ready for some lap time on Monday.
Be safe.
