Fri. Aug. 18

From a humid, dampish MO,

We have had a few spells of rain today. I am sure the accumulation isn't much, but it has stayed overcast so maybe it has done some good.

Jim had rehab this a.m. and then joined the second group of old geezers for breakfast. I walked the 1.25 mile route before he left, took a long time to cool off, showered, ate my oatmeal, and then did a series of errands - post office, books to Sandy, chemo caps to American Cancer Society, etc. When Jim returned, we did another series of errands including labels to Clara and we filled his truck with gas as it seems to be coming down some.

I slept well last night, but still dozed for a couple of hours after lunch today.

We will be leaving in a little while to go over to the stadium for the annual preseason intra squad scrimmage. We will need to take some rain jackets, but if the rain gets heavy we will probably come back home as Jim doesn't need to get chilled.

The only thing we have on our agenda for Saturday is to attend the memorial service for Vickie's mom. I do need to go to HyVee for some groceries, but other than bread, the other items on my list could wait until the old geezer discount on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Be safe.
B.
