Fri. Jan. 19

From a sunny, but still crisp MO,

We have had a full day. We walked at the Y about 7:30 this morning. After cleaning up, Jim headed to the Grand River Inn to join the second breakfast group and I loaded up the ladies and went to Piece of Cake for breakfast. Afterwards I delivered some items to RSVP and Jim was home by the time I returned.

We double checked the interior pen for the girls (have access also to the fenced in backyard) and we were soon leaving for the Overland Park area of KC. We made a quick stop at Borders as we had accumulated some Holiday Bucks from last year and I didn't want to lose their value. We then went to Red Lobster to eat lunch and then on to the Glenwood Theater and saw "The Painted Veil." It is not a movie that I would buy on DVD, but I am glad I saw it. The content was interesting and the scenery was also worth seeing.

We were back in Chillicothe by about 6:00 and have settled in for the evening. Needless to say, the girls were enthusiastic when we returned - and will need some extra cuddling this evening.

We have no big plans for Saturday other than watching the Texas basketball game. We have snow in the forecast for tomorrow night and I want to make a quick trip to HyVee for a few last minute items.

Be safe.
B.
