From a cold, drizzly, icy MO,
At least as of 6:45 p.m. on Sunday we still have electrical power!
We are among the fortunate in still having power. A line through Tulsa, Springfield, St. Louis - and beyond has widespead power outages - with of course the accompanying near freezing weather. We have had drizzle today and it will be icy outside in a little while as the temperature has stayed between 33 and 35 today in our area. Thousands are without electricity - and of course this means that gas furnaces also don't work as the fans are based on electricity.
I awakened quite early this morning (about 4:45) and carefully went outside and gathered in the KC paper. The girls and I scanned the paper and in a little while Trixie heard Jim stirring in the bedroom and she made a beeline to the door and began scratching to go in. I returned to bed about 7:00 and didn't get moving until about 11:00. Jim had taken a Tylenol PM last night and began moving in earnest about 9:00.
We have watched football today and have basically mildewed. We've managed a couple of loads of laundry and beyond that - not much.
We have a few errands that we hope to be able to do on Monday as we have sereral that will have to wait until Tuesday. I need to start the preparation work on the Retired Teacher's scholarship and that will be good to have that completed and the data out to the two county high schools.
Be safe.
