Sun., Mon., & Tues. March 25-27
From a gorgeous spring morning in MO,
I think I am slowly returning to the world of the living. When we walked at the Y on Monday - I managed 8 laps - today I stopped at 12 -- I usually do 16. I think I could have done the 16 today, but we have several things coming up today and I wanted to be able to try them.
Sunday evening commented on a "lump" on his rump - turned out to be the smallest tick that I think I've ever seen - and I had a devil of a time trying to get it out. I need to get on-line and check out the newest on Lyme disease as I suspect this was not our usual kind.
We got out and did several quick errands this morning and I still have a few more to do, but they won't take long if I just get started. I just haven't felt like doing much for a week so I have a back-log of short errands to do.
Jim went by Ed's this a.m. and they are going to spray our two "gum" trees this coming week as we are tired of dealing with all the "fruit" that doesn't easily decompose each spring. The "nettles" are rather hard and a person could slip on one if not careful - plus I don't enjoy walking on them when barefooted.
Jim put grass seed down either Sunday or Monday along with some straw so maybe some of the bare spots will have a chance.
Jim went over to watch pole vault practice for the first time on Monday - and I followed a little later. He had a big smile on his face when he came home and hasn't growled at me yet this a.m.
If we don't get rain today (some is predicted) there is a home track meet this afternoon. Afterwards I am going to the Grand River Inn to "look pleasant" for a gathering of Chuck's friends relative to the upcoming mayoral race.
Be safe.
